Oh lordy lord, this weekend could not come fast enough. You guys ever get weeks where you feel snowed under? That’s kind of my life at the moment. Italy cannot get here soon enough – your girl needs a pause button. (And the wonders of Italian food . . . that’s a big one.)
Hello, my beloved internet cult-followers. I hope you’re all enjoying your spring, your sunshine and your Saturday/Sunday, depending when you’re reading this. With the arrival of the sun, I thought a rather convenient post to bring you would be a spring fashion edit! No points for originality – but bonus points for consumerism.
Who doesn’t love some good old internet shopping? Plus . . . any excuse to buy new clothes.
Today’s post is #3 in my collab month series – and is brought to you in collaboration with the lovely blog Zehumura. This blog is actually pretty new to me; she reached to collab and that’s how I discovered her. Humura Ruth (the blog’s writer) is a total fashionista, so if you’re looking to slay – I’d recommend giving her site a look!
Now, I could ramble, but let’s be brief and get to the thing we all really want to hear about: pretty clothes.

1. Lace
I have a confession that isn’t much of a confession: I love lingerie. I mean, I could easily spend £100s of it, but I live at home and I imagine my mother would start being very nosy if I was hanging pretty underwear out in the wash. Not to mention the mental scarring of my poor father. He has my brother as a child; that poor man has been through enough.
As soon as the warmer months start appearing, the trend I rock year after year is having a bit of lace peeking out of my outfits. I’m not brave enough to rock bralettes as tops on their own, but I love pairing them with another top.
So my first spring trend? We gotta go with lingerie-style items!
White Lace and Pearl Bodysuit – ASOS – £34 // Pink Bodysuit – ASOS – £28

2. Cardigans
Call me a ninety-year-old nanny if you want, but cardigans are the shit. They’re comfy, they go with pretty much everything and they’re perfect for spring weather! Especially in England, where it’s warm enough to get rid of the winter coat . . . but definitely not warm enough to go without an outer layer.
Plus, cardigans are total investments as you wear them year after year. So you aren’t spending, you’re investing.

3. Layered Necklaces
Gold Layered Necklace – ASOS – £12 // Silver Layered Necklace – ASOS – £8
Layered necklaces are such a vibe.
Yes, that’s my conveniently located Instagram; you should give me a follow.
Here’s the thing – I love accessories. They can completely make an outfit. A simple tee and jeans? Basic, lounging round the house outfit, right? Add in a nice necklace, though, and that basic outfit is now super casual-cute.

4. Wide-Leg Trousers
Wide Leg Trousers – ASOS – £25
Guys, if I’m honest with you, I wait all year for the weather to warm up so it’s socially acceptable for me to wear wide-leg pants again. I love them. They’re classy, but comfortable, and flattering on every body shape. Plus, they make my bohemian little heart sing with their floatiness.
Also (and this is a big reason why I’m such a fan of them specifically at this time of year forwards) they’re super pretty, which means you can wear them to work . . . and out with your friends straight after you finish!

So these are my top spring fashion must-haves! I mean, every new season deserves a new wardrobe right? Justify my reckless spending habits here please.

I love the lace lingerie you got goin’ on girl!!!!!!!!
Hell yes!
I was scrolling down me reader and saw this post and the lace and lingerie outfits so I had to take a look. I am an old man but didn’t have the will power to pass it up. Anyway, I was reading the words to and I think you have a nice writing style, it is like you are having a real conversation with your readers. I use to blog years ago but stopped and am just now coming back so I am still working on my writing style before trying to build a following. The reason I followed your blog here is because I saw one of your post in a search and your writing style caught my eye. I wrote all this just to say keep up the good writing and you will be able to make a career at this blogging stuff. You don’t need to post this comment to your blog if you don’t want to, it is really just meant for you.
Aha can’t blame you! And thank you, that’s really nice 🙂 Good luck with getting back into blogging!
Mia, we’re so alike. I am SUCH a sucker for lace and lingerie – combined they’re heavenly. I love all of your choices and again, cardigans are the clothing item of the future. They’ve been around for ages and I don’t think they get enough credit. I also love to wear a dress / skirt and tights in spring, it’s just such an easy combination to throw on to look instantly cute in. xx
Girl, you know it! And YES YES YES – tights are absolute life savers. Plus, like you said, it’s an easy way to look instantly cute xx
Nice cute bralettes are my weakness, doesn’t matter how many I have I want more and my wish list always contains many bralettes. It’s something like addiction haha. Lovely post dear. xx
Girl, I cannot tell you how much I relate to that! They’re so pretty and they add such a delicate touch to an outfit 🙂 xx
I am in loveee with layered necklaces!! And striped widelegged pants are honestly bae.
Girl same here! And yes, yes, yes – I already have a pair and I live for them tbh x
Love all your choices!
Aw thank you cutie!x
Amazing fashion ideas for spring, loved reading but you’ve made my ‘no spend April’ that much harder 😂❤️ x
Thank you girly and… no spend april is actually a brilliant idea – but I might have to push it back to may 😉 <3
Haha exactly the attitude I had in March 😂❤️ x
your blog is super aesthetic.it inspires me to better my blog.keep blogging!<3
Thank you so much lovely! <3
I’ve been loving layering all my necklaces, like over a white t shirt to uni it just makes me even feel more put together, though I’m still on the lookout for my perfect pair of high waisted wide-leg pants, I loved this post Mia xx
Same here girl, same here! And mango (if you have it in your part of the world, that is) have AMAZING high-waist wide leg pants, I bought some last year and will probably be rocking them till im 70 xx
I absolutely adore all the lace lingerie!! It’s so delicate and pretty! X
Me too lovely!x
Girl YASSSS to the lace! I am obsessed with bramis. OBSESSED! And they look so cute under shirts! I am legit obsessed with that picture you posted on Insta. You are working it!
Also Was dying reading this! Thanks for the many laughs! <3
Hell yeahhh! They’re so dainty and pretty and … I love them :’) Thank you gorgeous girl! I was so freakin excited to get to wear my lace top again! <3
Love pretty little lace as well and cardigans are the best- so perfect for those cozy mornings.
Definitely agree with you on that! x
I love love love all things lace!! I don’t know what it is about lace but I just find it so pretty in clothes and lingerie 😊 xx
Me too! It’s such a versatile fabric and it just instantly makes an outfit 10 x prettier!xx
Yeah exactly 😊 xx
Great post! Loving the lingerie details. You can spend a fortune on that stuff! 💕
Thank you lovely! And oh god tell me about it, my bank account says no but my heart says yes… <3
Oh my goodness this is sooo pretty, I want all of them 😩 I’m trying not to spend my entire pay cheque on clothing at the minute WHY must you do this to me!! xxx
ME TOO! And girl I mean … we’re struggling in the same boat here ;-; I’m supposed to be saving, yet all i do is spend… xxx
yes yes yes I totally hype up lace, every woman needs that in her life, its such an empowering fabric!!! <3
GIRL YES! Lace legit makes you feel 1,000x better! <3
Lacey lingerie is sooo pretty but I don’t think I’ve ever bought myself anything pricey!! I want to go spring shopping now! I just shot five outfits and realised I’m wearing the same jeans in 3 so I guess I need to go shopping! Oops…
Honestly, some of the pricier stuff is SO WORTH IT! And oooooh have fun!x
Layered necklaces are really having a thing at the moment. I quite like that they are delicate and intricate looking. Love lingerie as well. I need to go out and buy a range of new pieces. xx
Definitely! And same here, I think they really add to an outfit 🙂 Ooooh, have fun shopping!xx
I love lace bralettes but also don’t feel comfortable enough to wear them on their own quite yet (or even because it is so cold outside I would probably freeze!). I am in need of a thick cardigan – all mine are thin summer ones. xx
Girl, wholeheartedly feel you on that one – it’s not even body confidence, it’s like “would people just be thinking where’s her top?” LOL. And same here tbh, they’re so comfy and cosy xx
I guess in summer it would be acceptable like it’s acceptable for guys to be shirtless. If not, we can make it a thing!!! xx
Love lingerie!!!!
Yes girl, definitely!x
Love love love all the lace lingerie, I’d wear ’em all to work. 😄 And all those cardigans are damn cute, too!
Okay, DEFINITE pro of your job! I can actually imagine my manager’s face if I walked into work rocking some of those bodysuits LOL xx
LOL, I think a manager at any “normal” job would be like “OH HELL NO” & I personally would never wear the lingerie in public but at work, YESSS!!! These are all so cute!! 😀
I am such a thot because I used to wear bralettes as tops all the time. I was really into Free People atm and nobody told me the trend wasn’t for my 32E’s.
Now that I’m a lady, I STILL love lingerie but I wear it more coquettishly. I am totally obsessed with every single item you’ve picked! Great wardrobe staples!

Girl pls, I wish I had that confidence! (And I mean who ISN’T obsessed with free people?)
I’m glad you liked my picks! 🙂 xx
I loved this post so much 😍❤️ I loved the lingerie and just everything. I like the light colours for Spring.
Lace is my go-to all around. (Yeah, it’s kinda an obsession, I love steampunk, so edgy lace is my all-time favorite).
I loved all your choices!! Great post it is 🙂 xoxo
