Hello, beloved blog readers – today, I am excited to bring to you a new blog series. What is said series called? Brand Spotlight. Essentially, all this will be is myself sharing brands I am majorly crushing on with you guys, with a few of the items that I love from said brands. Why?
Well, there are four main reasons for this:
So now that we’ve got the roots of this series idea out of the way . . . let’s talk about today’s brand. Today, I am sharing with you Forever New. Or, as I fondly refer to them, Forever-Tempting-My-Willpower.
As you lovely readers are sure to know by now, your girl loves dresses. The bigger the better. I love me some lace, some fancy cuts, some flowy skirts. I am a massive girly girl. Most of my “fashion” style is heavily fantasy inspired; I basically want to look like a flower fairy.
Hey, a girl’s gotta have goals.
Like this dress – very me! (I mean, that is quite literally a photo of me so that probably went without saying, but- look, you know what I mean. Also, if you like the dress it’s available here.)
Forever New is an Australian brand (never bodes well, Australians get great weather, so they’re already designing clothes in a far happier mood than us sad Brits are. It’s unfair competition; we’re used to shitty clothing, our defenses are weak against their designs) and oh sweet Jesus is their stuff beautiful.
I’m not even going to ease you into it, this is the dress I want. And by want I mean this is the dress that I would have bought myself on payday if my size were still available. I’m somewhat hurt, but I’m taking it as a sign from God. He knew I couldn’t be expected to exercise that kind of self control, so he took it out of my hands.
Red Rose Dress – Forever New – ASOS – £110
You can instantly see the kind of vibe Forever New has, right? The “fucking gorgeous, get in my wardrobe and adorn my body” vibe. That one.
Now, Forever New does have a wider range than just dresses . . . but I literally only really care about the dresses. Sure, their tops are really nice and whatever, but the show-stoppers? The show-stoppers are these beautiful, bohemian, floaty dresses that I just want to lie in a field wearing.
You know?
Blue Lace Maxi Dress – Forever New – ASOS – £120
I’m being really drawn to the colour blue at the moment; it’s not something I typically wear, so I don’t think it’s worth sinking money into . . . but then maybe I don’t wear it because I don’t have anything blue to wear.
Purple Cut Out Maxi Dress – Forever New – ASOS – £110
Now, this dress is a little left field even for me. I’ve never been drawn to purple before, but this may have made me a believer. Also, I tend to really switch between styles. On one hand, I love my dark roses – on the other, I love my pastel, lavender. This dress is something I definitely don’t have in my wardrobe currently, but I could really see myself loving.
Plus, I mean, it’s way more justifiable to buy a dress that’s completely different to anything you currently own, right?
Right?
I’m definitely going to have to move to a hot country, just to wear all the dresses I own more often. They deserve stage time, I’m not going to be a size 6 forever. (Hopefully. I’m kind of counting on that mid-twenties weight gain; I want those curves.)
Side note: if you haven’t watched my mini-haul video, make sure you watch it and subscribe to my YT channel. I want adsense.
Well, my children, those are my top picks from Forever New. Have you ever heard of the brand? Do you like their kind of style? What was your favourite dress? And what do you think of this post series idea? Let me know your thoughts down below!
Peace,
