Hello, beautiful people and welcome back to my favourite category on this blog: crafting! Depressingly, I feel like I’ve been crafting less recently . . . and that’s because I have been. Life really gets in the way of me and my hot glue gun.
How so? Well. Let me rant for a sentence or two. My visa renewal is in 4 days – and between tuition fees, rent, visa application costs and the mandatory insurance you have to pay upfront, my wallet has been begging for a rest. So alas, no gorging myself on new craft materials.
(Plants, however, are a different story. Although my partner and I propagate rare plants and make extra cash off it, so that’s a guilt-free indulgence. Or so I tell myself.)
Fortunately, today’s craft managed to sneak in, as I bought the mould from China and that ended up taking a month to arrive. So it’s kind of like past Mia was looking out for me! We love that girl. Oh, right, what are we making?
These beauties. These Venus candles are giving me all the bad-bitch goddess vibes. I entirely could see these being sold at Urban Outfitters and, look, I would buy them. Fortunately, they’re super easy to recreate . . . and today I’m going to show you how.
As you guys can see, I had so much fun experimenting with the colour combinations of this! My personal favourite has to be the ombre one, although it admittedly doesn’t photograph well. Which do you like?
Anyways, lovers, that’s this post coming to its end. I apologise for not being as active here as I would have liked – I’ve been catching up with coursework and just . . . stressballing about my visa. Tomorrow is dedicated to catching up with comments and everyone!
If you enjoyed this DIY, or want to save it for later, make sure to share it via Pinterest!
And that’s a wrap! Which of these colours was your favourite? Would you attempt to create these candles yourself? Let me know your thoughts down below!
Peace,
