Hello, my beautiful souls – are we all safe and sane today? That’s great, I’m glad to hear it. You just get yourselves a snack and settle in because . . . uh, well, I don’t really know. Because you seem to want to look at my blog goals? You’re the ones that clicked on this post, how am I supposed to understand your motivation?
It’s that time again. Back when I hadn’t decided to essentially throw my life in London away and start afresh in Australia (oh, remember the days of saying “I want to build a career young and start saving so I can retire early”? Ha. Ha ha.) and I was still organised and productive on this website, I used to set and track regular blog goals. It was great, we all felt productive and on top of our shit.
However, what with my life being a topsy turvy mess, my blog goal setting has been somewhat lacklustre and . . . well, let’s just say I don’t remember what my blog goals were, let alone if I actually managed to achieve them. Fortunately for me, my beautiful stay in The Belfry Guesthouse allowed me a lot of time to chill out, relax and focus on my blogging (as well as tan and eat all the food I could ever dream of) – so your girl is back, definitely not better than ever and here to hit you with some blogging goals*.
* – Uh, so I wrote the introduction to this post a few days before a whole ton of (amazing) stuff happened that made my chilled stay in the Belfry Guesthouse way less chilled and meant that actually I got no work done. I’m working on a post explaining what I’ve been up to, give me a day or two.
As always, I decided to write my goals in three month blocks.
At the moment, my main goal isn’t so much growth as it is maintenance. You guys can already tell that, with all the travelling that I haven’t kept you updated on, I’ve been struggling to keep up to date with my blog – so I figured that growth was going to be off the table. Just learning to get into a new routine and producing some quality content is good enough for me at the moment, so most of my goals for the next few months center around just . . . getting shit up.
Ideally, I’d like to keep experimenting with my content type (lookbooks, videos, etc. I mean, Priya and I are in the same city now – a fact that still blows my freaking mind, we went out together and I spent way too much money and it was amazing and I regret nothing.) – and, as Instagram is probably the easiest platform to use quickly and ~blogger central~, I want to try focusing on that too.
WHAT I USED TO CREATE THIS LOOK:
Pastel Highlighters – Amazon UK – £5.57
Pastel Highlighters – Amazon US – $11
Black and white floral stickers – £1.60
I have quite a few interesting ideas for content for the next few months (and a lot of DIYs, especially over the Christmas season) so make sure you keep an eye out for those! Now that I’m actually settled somewhere (I might be in Melbourne for the next five months, but I’ll tell you all about that in my next post), I can’t wait to get back into DIYs and all my creative pursuits.
Honestly, I just want to get back to where blogging is a fun way to channel all my creative energy, instead of being like “man, I’ve missed my upload schedule”. You know?
So, to summarise, my blog goals for the next few months are pretty much just “create cool shit I love in a somewhat timely manner”.
Okay, kids, this was just a little “I haven’t forgotten about this corner of the web and your girl is back and ready to attempt being at least as good as ever” post. I hope everyone’s had a great month or so and I can’t wait to catch up with you all! Did you like this journal spread? What are your blog goals for the next few months? Let me know your thoughts down below!

It’s so annoying when you write a blog post and accidentally publish it – I feel ya. Can’t wait to keep reading 😂

Thank you so much 🙂 Honestly, blogging schedules aren’t massively important unless you’re trying to grow quickly – do whatever feels best for you!

I loved this post ❤️ I’m glad you are back. I checked your blog many times and when there was a blog post up it dissappeared and I was like huh is it my computer, internet who doesn’t work?! 😂 I also want to create good quality posts rather than make a lot of posts. I love your journal. It’s so beautiful 💕👌

I really love how you design your planners, and I hope you achieve your goals!! And I think it’s normal that with all the traveling you are not finding time to keep up with your blog, when I moved in Canada, I didn’t post anything for like a month [maybe less]

I’ll be glad to just keep adding regularly to my blog haha as a single, working mum it seems I am forever short on time – but I do enjoy writing so I keep plugging away in the hopes anyone will read my post and finds it either useful, inspiring or amusing! 🤗

Your jounal spreads always look so beautiful! ❤
If we talk blog goals for a next few months, I'm not sure where I'll stand.
Now I'm busy with managing college and two jobs, and when I put a blog post up, I want it to be good content. The problem is, I'm not able to do it every week.
Also, lately I really think to much about what people I know think about my way of letting that creative side of me on-line and because of that I think I started to be a little bit more reserved in my posts. (Hope this made sense.)
How to unleash of those thoughts, any advice? xx
Other than that, I'm really excited for the Christmas season ❤

Thank you so much, Kate ❤
And that's totally understandable – jesus christ, you sound SO freaking busy! I'd have no mental energy left over! Good luck with balancing all of that over the new few months girly ❤
That made perfect sense…I think it's something everyone goes through because it's massively vulnerable to open yourself up online and share your innermost thoughts and creative expression with the whole world, where you can be judged. Honestly, I know this is going to be that helpful, but my main tip for overcoming this is just trying to create the best stuff you can so that you can go "well, even if nobody likes it, I know I put effort into it….and I like it". xxxxx

Thank you so much for taking time to write me this beautiful comment ❤ (not many people would do that.) It really calmed me a bit and I'll definitely take that advice – sometimes we know all of that but we need to hear it from someone else. Thank you so much once again ❤

I think that maintaining your blog comes with an aspect of growth anyway because nobody wants to follow an inactive blog! My goals for the next few months is to work on the quality of the pictures I am using, i.e. start using my camera again instead of my phone, and also start posting on Instagram. I have felt so uninspired lately so trying to find that inspiration again at the moment. Hope you are still having an amazing time in Australia. xx

I love this! As you may see, I just posted on one of your older posts about how my blogging schedules fell to pieces, as well (def why I’m looking at bujo journals). Anyways, I understand how blogs can go from fun to feeling a sense of pressure (wow, such similarities?!)
I think it is great that you are exploring and adventuring. As they say, there is a time for adventure and a time for reflection. I am excited to hear about your journey thus far! Blessings!
